We are pleased to announce that after two successful years of trekking around Tongariro, the Summer Walking Programme is back for 2011!

The Summer Walking Programme is held over Auckland Anniversary Weekend (28-30 January 2011). It is designed for walkers of all ages and abilities. The walks include the Crater Lake Climb and Tongariro Crossing, along with plenty of lower-altitude walks around Whakapapa Village.

The best part is that members and guests come at member summer rates — $15 for adults and $10 for juniors!

The bigger walks will be guided by a member of the club that knows them well. Those doing the smaller walks will be provided with comprehensive maps and are within ear-shot of a cup of coffee from The Chateau!

All walks are of course weather-dependent, but a great club atmosphere can be enjoyed regardless!
